According to Morningstar, most institutions were ADDING shares as of 12/31/12:

This includes funds like CIBC Energy increasing their share amount by 670,000, or 130% during Q4. But maybe what you are telling us is that in the first 2 weeks of January these institutions suddenly discovered that RPL is now a dividend-paying junior stock and now they want out. Boy, all of this must have come as quite a surprise to them!
