The development board, to be chaired by the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), is responsible for promoting the implementation of development projects and the execution of works in Canaris, located in the province of Lambayeque Ferreñafe, one of the ten districts poorest in the country.
It will be a space to promote alternative solutions between public and private sectors regarding the problems and needs of Canaris in terms of basic services.
After greeting the table as a place to develop and reach consensus solutions, recognized that a Cañaris sector has expressed disapproval regarding the exploration of a company that has permission to carry out that task.
"We do not want political questions, we want to gather these questions, we know that other sector agrees with express mine development in the area. Responsibility and the State Government is addressing these demands Kañaris population," he said.
He said the government has decided to promote a new approach in the search for an alternative to make viable the extractive industry and enable the development and welfare of the Peruvians.

Working Together
During installation, the Deputy Minister of Mines of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Guillermo Shinno Huamaní, said one of the main objectives of the Government and the sector is to achieve social inclusion and the direct care of the state to improve the quality of life Cañaris population.
"This is one of the objectives of the Central Government. Today begins developing this table, but there will be many meetings with the participation of various sectors to boost support infrastructure, electricity, agriculture, water and sanitation, health and education, which are necessary for the population of Canaris, "he stressed.
He said this development space will close working between the Executive, the regional government, local authorities and community authorities.

He recalled that at this time, the Government, through the MEM-successfully conducts similar experiences in locations where activities such as extractive Cotabambas (Apurimac), Chumbivilcas (Cusco) and Quellaveco (Moquegua).
In turn, the regional president of Lambayeque, Humberto Acuña, welcomed this initiative and stressed the need for institutions to work together "to bring Cañaris of extreme poverty."
"Today we have the opportunity to have a table for development in the highlands as Incahuasi and Canaris. This will allow us to make an agenda and timetable of meetings to contribute to the development of these communities, "he said.
