For many their market participation is limited to where their software flashes the action is. As the volume steadily rises more screens flash. Similar action with GWG this morning, low volume looked to stall it's rally, but once the volume came back, well have a look yourself. With Ort however you're still fighting a large short position that I suspect is folding in today.

 

The great thing about market liquidity is this. When a short covers it is usually because they truly feel the worst is over, consequently they will often take any profit on the short trade and then go long with the same company as they hope to be first out of the short pool, and first back into the long. Look for a ton of volatility on this front.
