You gotta love Shammy for thinking about taxes – he must be an accountant.   I too have thought long and hard about the tax consequences of MGX being a home run.     Like everyone else, I’ve used my TFSA to the maximum but that’s not enough to build a meaningful position.     So it comes down to RRSP versus  margin account.     I choose the margin account route because capital gains are only 50% taxable outside of an RRSP.     If you keep the shares inside your RRSP it just defers the taxman till you’re 71 or dead whichever comes first – and the gain will be taxed as other income NOT as a capital gain.     I hope each and every one of you has a MASSIVE tax bill when you file your 2013 income tax return.  Remember only the RICH complain about taxes! LOL
