Boe--Going back to October, gold has been trading in a fairly narrow band from $1650 to $1750, and is currently near, but above, the bottom of that band.

 

Most of the major gold stock indexes, OTOH, such as hui, xau, etc. having taking out the bottom of their same trading ranges and are printing fresh multi-month lows.  Gold stocks are either intensely hated right now, or there is some serious manipulation going on.

 

A couple of bright spots are gdxj (small cap gold index) and the Venture Composite Index, both of which have held up much better lately.  
That makes is worrisome that we are underperforming the Venture to such a degree.
