A thorn in their side

A thorn in their side

I don't know who is the larger thorn in whose side, but the battle between Jeff and Brookfiled is not diminishing whatsoever.

But I think Brookfield miscalculated, by a considerable amount, just how easy it would be to steal WDN out from under its shareholders. Then they miscalculated again by trying to manipulate the sales process to their favor.

In my view, their whole approach has backfired, and made it much less likely that they will get anywhere near enough shares tendered to their "offer".

Jeff has made it very clear that there are enough interested bidders, other than Brookfield, to get all of WND's assets sold for a much more reasonable amount.

So we have two choices, tender to Brookfield tomorrow, with the liklihood that they won't buy them anyway, or wait to see what the other interested companies are willing to pay for the assets they are most interested in. If the assets are sold in specified parcels to the highest bidders, there is the potential to realise a total sales value considerably higher than Brookfield's inadequate bid. After the latest series of releases, I am leaning back toward the mid to high $3's. I am unsure that we can break the $4 level, but I am also not ruling it out.

But make up you own minds. Do not be swayed by anything you read on stockhouse, or any other internet rag. Consider all of the evidence, and act accordingly.
