I am puzzled as to why you think one has to "contact the company" each time to find out what is happening.

There is onus on the company to "Update Operations" through disclosure to the shareholders. Energy companies (at least the credible ones) do it all the time. This is especially relevant when dates have come and gone without the CEO following through on his promise. If you are getting info through phone calls as in "early Feb" for news ........... this should be relayed to shareholders through a message from CEO to shareholders because this is significant. I am not saying the company is obliged but I am saying it helps credibility.
