Yes, it is valuable but after the fact.  The little guy is always in the dark, trying to figure out what is going on.  In reality, the little guy can't do it.  All he can do is buy when valuations are cheap and hold on.  If he buys on emotion or when someone says on the BB he is most often taken to the cleaners.   Finally he has to watch the charts for turning points.  I see a rounding bottom here, others may disagree.  We shall see.
