RE: RE: Fairchij???? thekid, I was told several weeks ago by a large shareholder that all the shares were spoken for (ie big interest. that turned out not to be entirely true). We were told that 60% of the placement was committed to before the Toronto meeting began. As stated before I believe these presentations were more than just to get the remainder of the private placement filled. They probably represent the first and last presentations that will occur in Canada (other than the AGM). Their focus is now going to be fully committed to the US market which has not had any real new and significant semiconductor technology to invest in for quite a while. As far as investors in Canada just California alone represents a huge increase in market audience for tech. Many of the assumptions we were coming up with on our own here turn out to be true. The immediate goal is to get the share price up to where it should be before accepting any offers from industry to avoid being low balled. They need to do this quickly because they need to focus on engaging industry. There were lots of complaints here about the need for a private placement. It now becomes very obvious that this was a good strategic move. They need for investment into the POET team including new equipment and for a large promotion effort in the states. Also consider that there may be a need for support in the area of contract negotiations.
