Was there less uncertainty? Higher bid now ie) more certainty of a higher price and less time to wait, but a lower market price. Maybe it makes sense to you probs, but not to me.
Brookfield made misleading comments that the company and specifically Jeff are not willing to sell. The comments were obviously designed to drive the stock price down so that their $2.50 bid would look better. It had no chance to succeed with the stock price at $2.75. Still failed.
So now it appears the stock price is being held under Brookfield's new offer price to make the offer look better. Still think there is no manipulation?
