Lambayeque: They form subcommittee to address mining conflict in Cañaris
At the end of the second session of the Working Committee for the Development of Canaris (Lambayeque), which drives the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, was formed a subcommittee that will address the social conflict that exists in this Andean town.
The high commissioner of the National Dialogue and Sustainability, Vladimiro Huaroc said they will address social and environmental issues and mining under discussion and have been raised by a section of the community.
He explained that the subcommittee will listen openly approaches the conflicting parties, and will be discussed in consensus agreements, the first appointment of the working group, next February 9.
He also stated that is being incorporated into the ministries of Environment and Culture, as well as inviting representatives of the mining company Candente Copper, to participate in the next meeting.
On the bench were present representatives of all the institutions that were initially convened, including San Juan Bautista community Canaris, who drive the unemployment in this town, but the latter did not sign the Agreements Act.
Finally, in that event, the District Municipality of Cañaris project profiles presented in the amount of 100 million soles.
