The Company has interests in approximately 16 gross (15 net) sections arising from several joint operations with the wholly owned energy companies of the Cold Lake First Nations (CLFN). The Company also has a joint venture agreement with the wholly owned energy company of the Bigstone Cree Nation (BCN), covering 1,024 gross (922 net) hectares in the Wabasca area of north-central Alberta, of which half has been earned as a leasehold interest. Those interests are located between CNRL’s prolific Brintnell enhanced oil recovery project producing approximately 50,000 bop/d of heavy oil and Cenovus’ proposed 10,000 bop/d thermal heavy oil project.

Tallgrass Energy amalgamates with Anglo Canadian

The TSX Venture Exchange has accepted for filing documentation pursuant to a court-approved plan of arrangement between Anglo Canadian Oil Corp. and Tallgrass Energy Corp. Approval of the arrangement was obtained from shareholders from both the company and Tallgrass at a joint special meeting of shareholders held on Dec. 21, 2012. Pursuant to the terms of the arrangement, the company and Tallgrass will amalgamate to form an amalgamated entity to be named Tallgrass Energy Corp. Under the terms of the arrangement, shareholders of the company will receive one amalgamated common share (Amalco share) for each 14.4887 common shares of the company held and Tallgrass shareholders will receive one Amalco share for each Tallgrass common share held. Accordingly, approximately 23,736,857 Amalco shares have been issued pursuant to the arrangement.

Effective share consolidation and name change

Effective at the opening on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, the Amalco shares will commence trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the name Tallgrass Energy and the common shares of Anglo Canadian Oil will be delisted. The company is classified as an oil and gas exploration and development company.
