Nobody forgets that but most investors have some change in their pocket for a play like this.

 

What I think you forget is not everyone empties their piggy bank into the market.

 

One way to average down is borrow money. I know not everyone thinks that's a good idea but from what I gather Jamie your position is not the biggest so a $5000 loan invested into Stans could help your average.

With interest rates so low you can borrow that money for around 4 %

I know you're not in Canada but for those Canadians here you can get an RRSP Loan for Prime plus 1% for up to $50,000 and as long as your not bankrupt then the Canadian Banks will approve you. (Please note I am not saying to borrow $50,000 and invest in Stans but you could invest in different stocks and have some money for a spec play like Stans. All depends on your appetite for Risk.)
