Americans will not escape with cash or bullion - the FATCA investment laws to be introduced for foreign accounts and investments will catch most escapees.  Note how the US Treasury cowed the Swiss banks and are now working through list of US residents overseas financial records.

I am sure that life can be made difficult for non complying US residents - those drones may soon be operational worldwide!
