Chiclayo: They file charges against Gregorio Santos and six leaders

The First Corporate Criminal Provincial Prosecutor filed the complaint against Chiclayo President of the Regional Government of Cajamarca, Gregorio Santos Guerrero, and six leaders accused of crimes of obstructing the functioning of public services and coercion.
The legal advisor of Gregorio Santos, Wilfredo Chero Villegas, told RPP News that his client was being investigated for alleged involvement in protests against the Conga mining project, carried out on 2, 4 and 5 June 2012 in the province of santa Cruz (Cajamarca).

Chiclayo: Archivan denuncia contra Gregorio Santos y seis dirigentes

La Primera Fiscalía Provincial Penal Corporativa de Chiclayo archivó la denuncia contra el presidente del Gobierno Regional de Cajamarca, Gregorio Santos Guerrero, y seis dirigentes acusados de los delitos de entorpecimiento al funcionamiento de los servicios públicos y coacción.
El asesor legal de Gregorio Santos, Wilfredo Chero Villegas, explicó a RPP Noticias que su patrocinado era investigado por una presunta participación en las protesta contra el proyecto minero Conga, protagonizadas los días 2, 4 y 5 de junio del año 2012 en la provincia de Santa Cruz (Cajamarca).
Además, indicó que fue el procurador del Ministerio del Interior quien interpuso la acción penal ante el Ministerio Público de Chiclayo (Lambayeque). Sin embargo, después de siete meses de suscitados los hechos, la fiscal Giovana del Río dispuso no formalizar ni continuar investigación preparatoria.
El archivamiento incluye también al exsacerdote Marco Arana Saavedra y a los dirigentes Idelso Hernández Llamo, Wilfredo Saavedra Marreros, Segundo Vásquez Gonzáles, Alejandro Izquierdo Torres, Clever Ramos García.
