Elgin's right. This was Carpenter's baby, as has already been mentioned. I don't see any.....advantage here by replacing him. Even with her. This isn't a good sign for KAM IMHO....

Oh and in the world of buyouts, takeovers and aquisitions, I csn't remember EVER seeing a 100% or more premium to be paid by the acquiring company, especially here lately. The point?? With such a low current share price, this would be a TERRIBLE event financially for ALL shareholders. IF the SP was say up over $4 or so, then sure, let's have a sale.

But all is not bleak. What could save KAM here in a pinch??? Elgin said that as well. 3 million ounces is NOT enough. Thinking about it, there's only one chance at a SAVE here - they need to find about 2/3's as much gold as they have already outlined up to this point. How many years have they been up there drilling??? Anything less will mean more delays. And that sounds like a mighty tall order to me UNLESS they find a honey hole again at Coffee. Mighty tall....
