Don't hold your breath

Don't hold your breath

It looks like today was a hearing and not a Proceeding.

https://www.osc.gov.on.ca/en/Proceedings_before-commission_index.htm

If it was a Proceeding it could take a longer time, so the hearing could be preliminary to a Proceeding and the decision of the Proceeding could then be appealed to the Courts. In other words, while we may get some news at any time, it could easily not be definitive news until all the stages are exhausted or the Parties come to an agreement. Obviously, there is s Brookfield-imposed deadline and whatever news we get will have a bearing on the Tender Offer. For those of us wanting to see full value, the extra time might allow Yabucoa to get closed, which is a significant positive for shareholders, even the ones with little patience or faith in the process.
