Just another low grade gold producer
Just another low grade gold producer When I first got involved with SGR they sounded a lot like a high grade gold mine. Events since then have said otherwise. Last quarter they managed .11 oz/ton, or 3.5 grams/ton, in final production. A high grade operation should be consistently running at a third of an ounce or higher per ton. Think Homestake, back in the day.
SGR is trading exactly where it should be trading, even lower possibly. The H&S topping pattern I found years ago predicted this, and its played out. I don't see much of a future for this mine unless they can find some way to seriously increase the grade per ton.
They will be lucky to break 100K ounces per year.
Not a good investment!
