RE: RE: RE: RE: Risky Nice move following the feasibility study. I'm not surprised to see a bit of back and forth in the share price after such a decent move.
I found some more information on the LNG situation. Its an interview on INN with David Morrison the head of Yukon Energy, the provinces utility company that is resposible for power. It looks like they partnered with Western Copper and Gold on the actual LNG study. He talks about on grid and off grid power but the bottom line is that Yukon Energy is obviously very impressed with the LNG idea. You can gather from the interview that aside from WRN building their own, Yukon Energy is also planning on using it and it sounds like they may partner with Western Copper in buying bulk LNG to lower costs even further which benefits booth WRN and the provincial utility.
I have heard him on other interviews with the president of Northern Freegold talking about building their own LNG generation station to put more power into the grid. Botom line is the power situation is looking pretty healthy. I'll post the link to the interview at the bottom. There is also a Yukon Energy presenation on NFR's site but I'm not going to post that on a WRN board but as an FYI I hear they are getting ready to put out a PEA on their project.
So far it looks like everything Western Copper is doing is heading them straight down the road to higher prices.
Just a comment on one of the other posts about the CIBC target.
Not only did CIBC Wood Gundy raise their target, they are also market makers and they have done investment banking for WRN. Not what you see in a typical junior. This means they could have all kinds of support going forward...maybe loans to build instead of dilution. Remember the big banks take a much longer term outlook and think much bigger than most of us. They like to loan billions.
I'm betting there is a lot more to come from this company.
