RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Aim - "Nazi's"? - Definitely I think people are confused. Agoracom is NOT a true public forum. It is public in the sense anyone can read it, but not public in the sense that anyone can post there, even if they follow the documented rules. The leaders of Agoracom are obviously supporters of shareholder action, and frankly, it is their pregorative to decide what kind of forum they are willing to provide. They have instilled power into hub leaders who will, by default, have their own standards and outlook influencing what they deem acceptable posting behavior. All of this is magnified on the SLI board, where there is a lot of frustration, anger, and regret as a result of the last painful year. It can be angering to be "muzzled" even if you feel you followed the rules - but, because no one is paying to use the board, it is not a formal news outlet, and it has always had a very controlled atmosphere - I don't feel it is some big violation of free speech. True, the site and its posters hurt themselves if they don't allow some other perspective - but it is their choice.
What I find frustrating is over the last while posters such as Risk is Relative, longball, among others have been supporters of the success of the company, but have also viewed the situation from various angles. They were then removed because as the anger towards management grew, the tolerance for other views diminished even further. But, that is how it goes - in their minds, there is no room for any dissent for their cause - the board must be a promotional tool to get everyone together who supports the cause.
