Jeff waited to file with OSC hoping that shareholder complaints would make them take the complaints more seriously. That seemed logical at the time, so in my book, he can't be faulted. Maybe the lazy shareholders who did not complain are to blame. It is not his fault that Brookfield found a way to short-circuit the bidding process and it is the Board's fault, not his, for not disbanding the Rothschild process and letting it be a free-for-all that might have turned out better for shareholders. It is the Board, not Jeff, that controls the bidding process through their contract with Rothschild, which so far has failed. Blame him for the things he can control, if you like, but don't delude yourself that everything that goes wrong was his fault.
