Why would Brookfield walk?

Why would Brookfield walk?

Why do you think that Brookfield will back down and disapear? I don't know what they will do. I know what I would do if I wanted to take WND over.

Why not make another offer, for $2.50 when the stock is at $2 or $2.25? Why not wait continue to Chill the Rothschild process for months and then try to win control at the AGM because nobody bought the company, even though Brookfield themselves were the reason? Brookfield has spent $25 million of so on shares and lawyers fees and incentives to get brokers to encourage tenders. If there is a higher offer that they don't want to beat, they make a profit selling their shares. If there is no sale of the company, shareholders will be angry and Brookfield can make another run at a buyout bid.

Do you expect Brookfield to give up because it lost 2 FINAL offers? Please tell us what you know about them that makes you think they will admit defeat and just give up.
