You don't have to wait to recieve anything in the mail.   You should be able to call CIBC brokerage and ask to exercise your rights option  and they should have everything already as the rights should already be in your account.    Thats the way it was with TD anyway.    I haven't recieved anything from TD yet but I called them when I noticed the rights show up in my account.   The brokerage person at the bank had all the information for any of my questions.
