RE: RE: RE: I hope UConn's computers... One thing to keep in mind sr. There are steps which are not shared in the patents. Taylor and his team have no concern about anyone reverse engineering POET. It has taken them 24 years to perfect the technology no one is going to discover those secrets in less than a years’ time. It would take many years to catch up and replicate Taylors work without the teams help. Only BAE have the ability to produce a POET chip at this time and it took them 6 months to get up to speed with Taylors help.
Remember that Lee is going to be handing out chips to many companies to test for themselves. These companies will have to be shown where to power the chip and where to apply and take off signals so I believe they are very confident that the technology cannot be duplicated without their help. Certainly not within the time frame of a sale.
I do understand the reasons for concern but I think it will be an issue for the buyers of POET to deal with. If Lee gets his way and the technology is syndicated then a lot of companies will be sharing the IP.
