RE: Locals Go Loco? It's not about being loco a la cabeca or not, it's about whether or not this foreign owned entity WOF can be trusted. And so, if enough 'stink' is raised, the county officials take action, which they are doing currently. If nothing more is done by WOF that can be trusted, then more stink is raised and it gets taken to the next level, provincial... you have to know that when the mine closed back in the 1990s it became basically out of sight, out of mind and was sat on by Se Woo mining for a long time.
The locals didn't go out search for someone to reopen it. Woulfe happened upon this project because they were searching for projects with some sort of merit that could potentially be developed rather quickly. Oriental Minerals made a big splash in the area because people began to realise this thing could be potentially redeveloped. Then, when Woulfe took over from Oriental, and with the announcement of Korea Zinc wanting in, things became somewhat high profile for the project, the area, and the people.
The people have no problem with Woulfe leaving, and some korean company picking this project up and running for the goal. So, the people don't have to "kill" the project, just the ones they perceive as untrustworthy.
And right now, that's WOF.
I am very interested to find out the outcome of the next meeting/presentation due to the cancellation of the one that was slated for the 18th. Anything that I can find, I'll post, as usual....
