RE: Infinera: NASDAQ: INFN oogee, it's not a matter of picking up Infinera at the lows, or the fact that Infinera's market cap is $750 million.
The fact remains, that Infinera has an integrated chip and has penetrated the networking market first.
What would you have them use their revolutionary chip for first? Do you honestly think that once their technology is widely accepted and used to improve networks, that their integrated chip can't or won't be used for other applications?
Get serious oogee. Infinera's chip may just revolutionize the industry. Actually it already has started to, and I don't see why being first to market, won't see them continue their successes.
Where is POET in comparison? R & D still and they haven't even produced an integrated chip yet.
Genoa, in Fremont, California had completed their integrated chip using PLC (planar light curcuit) in 2002, as POET is trying to do, but I haven't been able to find Genoa anymore. I'm not sure whatever happened to them, or if their still around, but as this is high tech, surely you should know the significance of being first to market. JMO
