The mobilization will be on March 10 and has been called by the villagers who do opt for private investment and are threatened by anti-mining groups.
President Cañaris Defense Front, Enrique Lucero, announced that commoners who do opt for private investment and are threatened by anti-mining groups held on 10 March, a march for peace in the area where the company will operate Candente Copper mining project with Cañariaco.
Also stated that the Attorney General report evaluates the former governor Pucará district, province of Jaen in Cajamarca, Leoncio Avellaneda Balcazar, for conspiring against the public order.
As reported Perú21, Avellaneda took part in the conclave who chaired the regional president of Cajamarca, Gregorio Santos, which agreed to the mining camp violently, on 16 March.
Furthermore, the roundtable in Ottawa announced a package of social and economic projects that will benefit the area affected by the mining project Cañariaco.
