Your totally missing the point of my question... 

.. do they not have an obligation to get all the outstanding shares before they can incorporate the assets outright ..

"The interesting situation occurs if Brookfield Renewable does not reach the
90% level. In that case it said that it will “effect a subsequent acquisition to acquire the remaining common shares.”

So why should i bother to do anything at this point,.either way Im getting my $2.60.  And I have enough $ to reinvest elsewhere so effectively their is no opportunity cost for me holding on and just seeing what happens. Effectively it cant become dead shares...
