RE: RE: TECK's bleak economics/soft coal
RE: RE: TECK's bleak economics/soft coal 2guys: read the post. NO INTERPRETATION. Simply a pasted report of Teck economics and reasons. The "interpretation" is yours and your shoot the messenger response has been typical of is CEC that although proclaiming it is consulting with stakeholders who have concerns re coal mine toxins, began presentations with stereotyping the opposition as misinformed and its concerns as trivial. Tapic's response to the West Coast Law Center Hazaard order that was aired on a number of tv news programs was to say that there was no concern because the mine wouldn't be going into operation for a few years. Standard industry response is to shift attention from the grave issues of irreversible toxic contamination of air and water sources raised by stakeholders including the BC Shellfish Growers, various First Nations Groups, and all local governments. None of these groups would identify themselves as "environmentalists."
