RE: RE: my backyard is YOUR backyard

This may be a stupid question but the coal is in the ground as we speak am I correct?

Does any of the rainfall penetrates ground level and drain down to these coal seams or not?  Just wondering.

I realize the argument about burning coal in our atmosphere, but there are cleaner coal burning techniques which do minimize that effect.

Mining and cleaning the coal responsibly so that the runoff from cleaning the coal is kept away from any watershed will also protect drinking water, but I'm wondering about the rainfall.

I've been to Vancouver on several occasions, and it does rain a lot.  Maybe getting rid of all that coal at Raven in the long run is a good thing.

So, I'm going to try this again, the negative posting by either environmentalists or others isn't going to hurt CEC as John Tapics is well compensated and won't lose anything if Raven isn't approved.

They only thing Raven protesters are doing is possibly making investors lose money.  We don't get paid anything from CEC, so all we can do is hope that the project moves ahead in order to make a small profit.  John Tapics win or lose is still making his $250k per year salary.

I doubt this will sink into your heads, but it's a fact.  Your postings aren't helping your cause here.  JMO
