RE: ounces in the ground

RE: ounces in the ground

Kickinghorse -- I spoke with someone very close to this today and they were stunned that it could go this low. It seems if it stays near these levels for long something has to happen, and perhaps sooner than management expected. This fall in market cap can't unnoticed in the industry. People probably have a good idea that the PEA is going to show good economics or management wouldn't be aggressively promoting it as such. PDAC is coming: do they shop Springpole over expensive scotches at the Fairmont Royal York? Many other buyouts have not waited for the PEA. I heard a rumor (don't quote me) that they turned down at least one offer last year (which I would guess they regret now). Also, there's potential to expand the ounces, which is a key criteria for majors/mid-tiers considering an acquisition. If someone does swoop in to grab the ounces in the ground, I wonder where the offer would come in. And what happens to the REE business: do they spin that out to shareholders or split the deal since the REE part is a subsidiary? I think we all need some scotches after today.
