I really don't know about the requirements for collar spacing.  Collar spacing would really only matter if the holes are oriented exactly parallel anyway.  What matters is the distance that any unknown point is from a known point (i.e grade of an unknown ore block vs. grade of an ore block that has been drilled through and analyzed).  While 25 may be a rule of thumb, I think it would vary based on the geology, with the geologists and engineers having to make alloawances for the heterogeneity (variability) of the ore body etc.  For example, the drill spacing would likely have to be tighter in areas close to the boundaries between high and low grade ores at Ana Paula.
