Yeah Elmo, well stated. I too am not adding to SME until/unless I really like the next deal. My views are well aligned with your's. 

I'm not hurt too much on SME since it is a relatively modest position but I'm in a world of hurt on SSL. Sure I expect I'll get it back someday but it may be several years. 

Before the Mongolian gamble we had a lot of positive momemtum. Now I fear we are dead money for quite a while as Nolan has to prove himself all over again to Wall Street. I expect he will ultimately do so but the healing process will probably take a few years unless the price of gold really breaks out. But there is no indication that this is immenent. 

It is also clear SME is effectively a ward of SSL. 

Volumes are still high for SSL but they are receeding to more normal levels suggesting the worst may be over but we are way, way down.
