Consolidated Thompson was great, Cliffs paid too much, RIO gave away the bank with the last labour contract, the area does not need another railroad, Alderon is another Wabush (too much mn in the product like Wabush which was never expanded since it started why - mn), IOC has LIM by the short hairs because there is no independent, serves all, storage and shipping installation, NML is going slow and doesn't need a railroad . . . yet.
An independent railroad and port facility that serves all comers would be a great asset for the area. The Sept-Iles Port Authority is trying to become a service for all comers but it has a way to go yet.
OK there is a lack of really good news. Labrador Iron Royalty Fund, LIF, has not been doing too bad though. It is not at it's historical peaks but still pays well and has a lot of unrealised value.
