Where are the synergies? Why would an American silver producer buy a small Canadian gold producer like Aurizon in a high tax province like Quebec? I simply don't see the synergies. In addition, Hecla is planning to pay for the purchase with a combination of cash and stock: up to 57 million (or 20%) new shares, thereby significantly diluting the value of current shareholders. Hecla's share price is down 12% right now. - Makes no sense to me. Does anyone have a logical explanation?
