RE: RE: RE: RE: All or nothing stock (?)

Thanks for coming aboard Foodhawk.  Welcome.

We appreciate the close-up view from Germany; the link you provided to EFSA shows  "request for a review of the earlier Bioresco opinion on behalf of Helm AG" as being in progress. (file# M-2013-0069). It seems they're onto it. Palmpje and others have correctly ID'd Helm AG as BXI's benefactor.

Gadfly is correct regarding the fact that all foods are potentially allergenic. Why single out "rapeseed" protein? In the end, safety agencies won't. A warning label will suffice, as it does on peanut butter.

BEAR sums it up well: our adversary here is time, and the limited funds in BXI's coffers put us at a disadvantage.  Much of the cash burn is expensive management,  as 1320 has reminded us all.  (frequently)

As far as the small size of the human study, they always start small and expand the target populations. Nobody will be making infant formula from Isolexx until its safety is established in adults, for example. Direct analogy is human drug trials.  Reference was previously made in plural to "studies", and suggests that there are additional results forthcoming.

The strengths of a new vegetarian protein source in the current EU food chain MUST be played up.  It's a PR dream and would work in the company's favor once the EFSA passes the product - which I believe it will, from a scientific background.  GMO or not won't influence the product, but most environmentally-responsible people (who tend to seek out eco-friendly and humane food sources) will, as techmom says, appreciate the clean feedstock.

Finally, this is a product that can be created from what is presently a waste byproduct of canola production. Cheaply? Maybe. Helm seems to be betting on it. Reproducibly? GEA said yes. I once asked this board whether anyone knew if an add-on module could be built beside a canola-crushing mill. I don't know anything about building factories.

We all can't wait to hear from management. The race is between EFSA approval and dollars spent on managing a holding pattern. We don't need the extra suspense, but everyone who has shares must believe, as I do, that this is a product that deserves a fair place in the world's food supply.

All the best.
