TSE trading volume down 19.1 percent
TSE trading volume down 19.1 percent TMX released trading data confirms for me trading volume on the senior board is down this year=lower s/p volatility= s/p downward drifting= an early start to the "sell in May" period already started as I can now confirm for January,Feb, and probably March April as we head for the summer slowdown. March 5, 2013 (TORONTO) – TMX Group Limited today announced February 2013 trading statistics for its diversified group of exchanges – Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, Montreal Exchange (MX), Natural Gas Exchange (NGX), TMX Select and Alpha.
Trading volume on Toronto Stock Exchange in February 2013 decreased 11% compared to last month and was also down 23% compared to the same month last year. Volume on TSX Venture Exchange decreased 9% compared to January 2013 and was down 34% year-over-year.
