Positive Changes in Peru

Positive Changes in Peru
Let's stick to the facts here:

The Peru Government clearing supports Candente Copper as does the Candian Government as evidant with John Bairds recent visit to Peru with an invitation for President Humala to visit Canada later this year.

It is also clear that Radicals are reciving less and less support from the local community due to the round table meetings that are clearly working as they include local community, government and mining interests.

Candente Copper will continue as planned.  Not only does this company have the goods (we are all clear on that) but it is also doing everything right to move this project forward!

This is a buying opportunity if I ever saw one.

Baird's visit took place under the high-level dialogue between the governments of Peru and Canada.

"Canadian Foreign Minister's visit confirms the excellent level achieved in relations between the two countries, the desire to expand into new areas of cooperation and dynamics of political dialogue at the highest level between the two governments, said the Foreign Ministry.

The Canadian dignitary was received at the headquarters of the Executive with the honors due to his high office and immediately went to the interiors of the Government Palace to meet with the president of Peru.

At the meeting, Baird reiterated his country's readiness to cooperate in the efforts of Peru to provide better opportunities for education and capacity building through a scholarship program.

They also discussed the progress of the Pacific Alliance and the interest with which Canada continues its development.

Baird also reiterated the invitation for President Humala made a state visit to Canada in the course of this year, an invitation that was accepted.

Before his meeting with the president, Baird met with his Peruvian counterpart, Rafael Roncagliolo, occasion in which both reviewed the progress of bilateral and regional agenda.

Reportedly, the two foreign ministers noted the broad prospects of growth and trade cooperation between the two countries and stressed the similarities between Peru and Canada's commitment to democracy and the promotion and protection of human rights.

They also highlighted the prospects for trade and investment relationship and the will to affirm the principle of corporate social responsibility in the mining industry.

In the area of ??cooperation, they also agreed that both governments will emphasize development programs and social inclusion in education and in the creation of an Institute of Mining in Peru.

Similarly, according to the Foreign Ministry, the two ministers agreed to restart talks with a view to concluding a new air agreement between the two countries.

Later, Foreign Minister Baird Roncagliolo offered lunch at the participation of the Minister of Defense of Peru, Rafael Roncagliolo.

In the lunch were found prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in defense and confirmed the next visit by the minister Cateriano Canada March 1.

It was reported that the visit will sign a memorandum of understanding to boost bilateral cooperation in the sector.
