Slumdog..

Slumdog..

There were so many beggars at PDAC yesterday that I thought I was on the set of Slumdog Millionaire! It's the only time I've been downtown Toronto where I felt safer outside than I did inside a building. The possibility of being mugged for my wallet seemed more likely to happen walking down the isles between the booths at the show than would walking down the darkest of Toronto's alleys. I joked the other day that by having PDAC in the basement of the convention center that lives could be saved, inferring that people wouldn't be able to jump out a window to their deaths. Little did I know how bad things were! After several hours of walking the floor and talking with owners, operator's and their employee's my concern shifted to the fact that with all the tears being shed, the basement might have been a poor choice, the possibility of drowning seem more likely than ever before in my life.

On the bright side, I did stop at one booth where the owner operator explained how she was making a killing, and after listening to her story I've decided to take her public. Screw gold, zinc, oil and all the rest! I paid $2.50 for a bottle of water! The nice lady from the Philippines who sold me the water  knows more about making money than any of the self absorbed cry-baby companies that I've invested in lately!

Cheers
