Front Economy- Yanacocha will not withdraw from Cajamarca

Yanacocha mining company said it will not withdraw from Cajamarca and continue operations at the mine is still exploding, as production points to remain stable at least until 2015.

"We have a production profile that points to remain more or less stable for the years 2014 and 2015. For the next few years, our company has a number of projects in which we are working but require additional study, and a social climate and appropriate law permits, "said General Manager and Corporate Affairs, Javier Velarde.

Through a statement, Yanacocha denied the newspaper article published today in a national newspaper, which states that Minera Yanacocha Cajamarca will retire by 2016

"We have discussed with transparency challenges ahead, but by no means have said that in 2016 we are abandoning Cajamarca," said Velarde.
