RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE We've already discussed the short term "weakness" in potash prices. The articles were to show that even with all the so-called "over supply".... potash prices are now increasing.
I've said this before,I prefer to Buy Low ( when post people are selling stock).I invested in the company....not the potash sector. There are dozens of potash companies I could have invested in,or I could have chosen potash ETF's.I chose ICP,because I think as a company,it has everything I'm looking for in a junior with what I believe is tremendous upside potential.mostly because or Yara and I like the people that make up management, the location, the low cost of production, closeness to market etc etc etc.....but mostly beacuase of Yara.
From what I understand(correct me if I'm wrong),Yara had not previously been involved in the potash sector in a significant way but have now identified potash as a strategic area for NEW investment and commenced with 2 initiatives......ie with ICP and in Ethiopia.I don't know of any other potash initiatives that they are involved with....and there are many, many to chose from. Recently they increased their interest in the Ethiopian project to 51%....why wouldnt they take a controlling interest ,as well ,in their other initiative?
You agree that the long term prospects for potash are good... with increasing population, changing "richer" diet, finite supply, tremendous expense in opening up greenfield mines(most significantly more costlier than ICP's project) long lead times to actual production. For the mean-time,with a slump in potash prices and the whole potash sector in the doldrums, short term....I ilke to take advantage and BUY LOW.
My opinion
