RE: RE: Patents Yet solesius, POET is not the only technology in this category that has R&D at a major University, nor is it the only technology that is being supported by BAE or the US Government or the US Armed Forces, etc.
I agree that having a patent may slip through the eyes of the many well paid patent lawyers that a Global Company like IBM or Intel have on hand, but maybe it didn't either.
Thing is, Opel is a public company and you can Google the potential IC just like you can with Opel, IBM, Infinera, APIC Corp, etc. and you'll get all the information you need to know about the potential competition.
Now that's just a normal Joe like myself who isn't paid to research the competition and have my livelihood hang on the balance of finding or not finding POET out there.
Opel is not a private company. If it were, it would be much more difficult to find, so if anyone believes the big Techs don't know of POET, then that's just being naive, IMO.
I mean, why wouldn't investors want to have POET being known by a major Blue Chip company anyway? Just bet that they do know, and if nothing is done to partner up, or sign an offtake in the future, then don't count on there being an auction for POET either. JMO
