I like this part:

"ODIS is a startup company developing a compound semiconductor planar optoelectronic technology through the pre-manufacturing stage. The fabrication engineer will be involved in the completion to technology readiness level (TRL) 8 followed by a transition to manufacturing. The initial position location will be in the ODIS development lab associated with the University of CT."

Sounds to me like they are expecting to move their operations elsewhere at some point. I'm sure this will be discussed during interviews.
