Idlefreebird...you sound like you just came off one of those 12 hour shifts. All you are reading is the ying and the yang. Some folks have less knowledge and understanding about mining. I can remember back in 1968 unloading frieght cars in the winter. The thaw shed was so cold the muck would not run out of the cars with the doors cranked wide open. I pounded hollow pipes down deep in the muck. The pipes were loaded with stick powder and blasted to loosen the ore within the cars. We often sent chunks flying through the roof of the shed. Then we took sledge hammers , picks and shovel to clean out the car and crank the doors shut. I developed arms of steel for the odd brawl at the bar. Seemed like fun until I met up with a giant cut and fill miner. He set me straight.
