Good argumentation. I like this kind of conversation, we all can only profit from that!  If the potential JV partner is an European company then this company will have most likely the biggest market in Europe (unless if it is one of the two global players, Nestle or Unilver; less likely Danone). It would require a lot of money not only for the Saskatoon plant, but also to enter the market outside of Europe without a well established structure/distribution outside of Europe. Then indeed, why not American companies has not closed such a deal with BXI yet(?)

So your scenario seems to me realistic only if the potential JV partner was Nestle or Unilever. For another European Companies which is less well established outside of Europe, it would be much more difficult to market this product.
