RE: Barrick Gold and Lagunas Norte

RE: Barrick Gold and Lagunas Norte

over almost last 10 years New Oroperu didn't do any financing. each year they will be receiving 250k which is close to their yearly burning. for security they might do a financing this year. TD dumped  the share price to almost 5 year low and I guess it's because of potential PP.

Barrick still has 7 years to make decision. with gold price around 1600 and Barrick's other mine cash cost around 300 dollars in that area, I wouldn't think it's a tough decision to make for them. also, if Lagunas being build, I guess the CAPEX will be much lower for New Oroperu. Maybe Barrick will do PEA PFS BFS next few years. once it makes a go decision, New Oroperu will be a cash cow with 0 risk. but I guess Barrick will buy it out long before it puts into production. say a positive PEA?
