RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Do You Guys Know What A Pr If anyone looses money, that's on themselves. This is a VERY young company with a VERY bad financial history. They have been VERY capital hungry as they were primarily trying to grow out the Solar division. that failed, and now they are trying to push POET before going private.
I think to me the big issue is that they have already announced a private sale for sometime in 2014. There is no secret there. POET has definitely piqued my interest, but I think OPEL needs to be a bit more forthcoming on how developed the tech is. Just looking on the NR's, they only released 2-3 NR's advertising 3rd party verification. They also bragged about having 30-36 patents but previous NR's never really followed up with specifics. The rest of the NR's are about PP's, Financing, and other non vital info when it comes to POET
I'm not an expert, but this could be the reason that the SP hasn't gone up to levels people were talking about. Anyone who is going to be arriving to the party this late will want more technical proof that OPEL isn't just all talk. I've listened to a lot of the meeting stuff, and they are good at hyping POET and the company, but they are really vague on hard facts. This can only take you so far before investors and buyers expect actual details. If OPEL releases more and more *useful* technical info on POET, I think the SP will go up accordingly. To be honest even if Atomic started a PR campaign tomorrow, they need to be really careful what they tell prospective buyers. they need to make sure they understand the tech, and are aren't over stating the level of advancements OPEL has made with POET or make promises that OPEL can't deliver by the sales date. If they go down that road, I think there will be some serious issues getting a good price for the shareholders. So the fact that we haven't heard anything from OPEL/Atomic yet to me is a good thing.
