Take a look at the fine print of all the banksters gold backed  instruments even Kitco where you as a customer has an option to use their vaults everyone reserves the right to pay out in cash instead of the actual metal !!!

go buy a hundred oz on the comex and then tell them you will be right over to pick up the bars they would laugh in your face 

dont know the exact ratio but the amount of gold or silver traded on the paper market and what is physically actually available is totaly out of wack ,some say than ratio of what is being held in paper versus what's available physically  is 100 to 1
