RE: NEWS! Not good You are quite right, twolfe, in regards to the usual outcome of a reverse-screw, but they don't always turn out bad. On several occasions I have made money on such an action. A lot of times, with the increase price and smaller float, they get noticed and (unfortunately) get bought out by bigger companies. It still leaves a bad taste when you've built up a respectable position in hundreds of thousands to see it shrink to thousands!
I will have to agree that it was "toppy" at 275M shares and was going no where.
Other thoughts on the slowdown would be that the general expectation is that Silver is going to go much, much higher. Why sell most of your production (also applies to shares) at $28 Silver when you know you'll get $100 Silver in the not-too-distant future with the same amount of work to extract it? We don't have knowledge (as shareholders) to what management knows about the deposit and the possible fact that it may be huge?.. (Probably we should NOT know as then we ,as shareholders, become a liability to the plans, negotiations, and strategy of management in their plan to increase value and profit of the company and not draw attention to the point where they could attract a hostile takeover).
I'm still willing to wait to see results of this new plan. The minute they start ADDING (post-split) to the share float is when I start dumping.
As Always, Best of Luck.
