RE: RE: Paste Fill Plant

RE: RE: Paste Fill Plant

Thanks idlefreebird. It is important to dilution prevention that the mined out stopes are filled. When stopes are left open, ground stresses shift encouraging rock bursts and dilution. The empty stopes that are barricaded for paste fill are vulnerable to "sloughing and cave ore" that will be lost in the sand fill pour. Not good for the bottom line. It is most important to fill empty mining blocks as quick as possible. Unfilled stopes can upset the mining sequence and cause havoc with mine production. Rock bursts also make for unsafe workplace safety. The LSG team was to have the paste fill plant ready for the end of March. This is a factor in creating shareholder value.
